On behalf of Mohamed Meghani and Rahim Rajani the Co-Chairmen and Co-Founders of IUTDFANS, welcome to the official IUTDFANS website.
IUTDFANS (initially known as DKUTDFANS) was established in the late half of 2011.
A small minority of Manchester United fans (only 5 at the time), took the typical engagement of banter which took place on most Fridays after JK, to another level...
We started predicting scores for each game. This would usually be in person, but then we introduced methods such as text and email for sending scores and recording them and competing against one another.
The IUTDFANS club has 50 members at the time of this writing (with members based primarily in London, and as far as Manchester, Canada and USA!). We try and meet up a few times over the season, have banter in person, by email and WhatsApp!
For each game, you need to submit your score prior to the next game United play. This has to be in time before kick-off!
A correct score results in 20 points
E.g. United to win 2-0.. Correct result: 5 points United to win: 5 points United to score 2 goals: 5 points Opponent to score 0: 5 points That's 20 points!
The prize? or should we say prizeS...?!
There's several!
Here is what is up for grabs each season:
IUTDFANS league trophy (awarded to the winner who tops predictions in all of Man Utd's league games). IUTDFANS cup trophy (awarded to the winner who tops predictions in all of Man Utd's cup games). IUTDFANS spectacular score award (awarded to the winner who is voted by other members to have predicted the most 'spectacular score' of the season). IUTDFANS crystal ball trophy (awarded to the winner who predicted the correct outcomes prior to the start of the season). IUTDFANS hattrick award (awarded to the winner who gets 3 or more correct predictions in consecutive Man Utd games). IUTDFANS club member of the year (introduced in the 2018/19 season, any members who do not win a trophy will be considered for entry for this trophy. However, the ultimate winner will be determined by Mohamed and Rahim. Additional factors to be considered will be the members' contribution to the club i.e. participation at IUTDFANS events, WhatsApp groups and donations to IUTDFANS).
Winners and runners-up medals (2nd and 3rd place) are awarded in the IUTDFANS league and cup competitions (and special competitions such as the IUTDFANS Euro and World Cup).
IUTDFANS is funded primarily by Mohamed and Rahim, with donations from our members - we strongly believe it is our members who help make our great supporters club what it truly is - united!
